Charisma Carpenter

 Charisma Carpenter (born July 23rd 1970) is an American actress from the United States. She was Cordelia Chase, a supernatural drama show Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) as well as the spin-off series Angel (1999–2004). She also starred as Kyra in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablancas in Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell in The Lying Game (2012-2013), and Lacy in The Expendables film series (2010-2012 ).

 



 

  Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada the daughter of Christine Carpenter, who was a bird sanctuary worker and Don Carpenter, a salesman. Carpenter is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French, and German descent. Carpenter attended Bishop Gorman High school in Las Vegas. she was also a part of a group of dancers and singers that performed in the Las Vegas Valley when she was nine years old.

 



 

  Carpenter aged 15 when she and her family moved with her family to Rosarito Beach in Baja California, Mexico [2] and later , to San Diego, California. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter traveled around Europe following her graduation. Carpenter returned to San Diego in 1991 and worked as an aerobics teacher, a videostore clerk, as well as a property manager. In 1991, she worked as a cheerleader with the San Diego Chargers football team, In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles.

 



 

  Henry Hubbard Jr. was an ex- San Diego officer and serial rapist who attempted to subdue her as well as two of her male friends as they were swimming in San Diego in 1991. Both Hubbard Jr. as well as her companions were shot during the battle. Both survived. Hubbard was arrested, later convicted and sentenced to 56 years in prison for a string of rapes and robberies. Carpenter took Hubbard's police-issue flashlight to the beach, which he'd left on the beach, and the flashlight ended up being an important piece of evidence used against him.

The magazine also included her in a ten-page naked pictorial. People magazine asked Carpenter in 2005 if she'd once again appear on Playboy. She replied "I don't know." Playboy was something I chose to do with a purpose. Playboy was more than just an excellent financial choice, but also a great option for my life situation. I had just had my son and had gained 50 pounds during my pregnancy. I wanted to look like my old self again. I wanted to feel attractive and attractive. I was thinking, "What if I went full throttle?"
