Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress best recognized for her appearances in TV series The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003, she has demonstrated her versatility as an actress by giving stunning performances on television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7, and Under the Dome. Her role in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the first to draw her attention. It was however her role as the women's rights campaigner Fannie Lou Hamer on the film biographical All the Way that finally made her an actress. Hind also received high praises for her performance as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the show for a 3rd season. Hind was recently finished filming the Hollywood feature Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is scheduled to release mid-2019. Her father Krishnaraj died in the month of March after a long career as a scientist for India's Army. Vrinda, her mother is a domestic worker. Aditya Rai is her older brother is a marine merchant engineer. Bachchan's brother co-produced and co-wrote the film Dil Ka Rishta with their mother. Arya Vidya Mandir, Mumbai was the place where her parents been living since they moved there. After finishing her studies for intermediate in Jai Hind College, she was accepted into D.G. Ruparel College Matunga, where she scored a 90% mark in her H.S.C. exams. She studied classical music as well as dance for five years in her teens. Zoology was her favorite subject. In the months before releasing Provoked: A True Story 2006 in English, she went back to Bollywood to play the lead role as a co-star in Dhoom: 2 (2006 smash film). In April 2007 she married Abhishek Bachchan who is a frequent co-star as well as the son of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage which brought together two of India's most powerful people.
