Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress best recognized for her appearances in TV series The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003, she has demonstrated her versatility as an actress by giving stunning performances on television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7, and Under the Dome. Her role in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the first to draw her attention. It was however her role as the women's rights campaigner Fannie Lou Hamer on the film biographical All the Way that finally made her an actress. Hind also received high praises for her performance as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the show for a 3rd season. Hind was recently finished filming the Hollywood feature Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is scheduled to release mid-2019.
